It's about time!
I finally got around to finishing Ikki Tousen. It was an interesting story slathered in fanservice delight! No, really. I seriously enjoyed it.
I also have been lagging behind on the fansub shows I love; watched the third ep of Himawari!...

Ughhh!
Man, some anonymous poster spammed my blog with about 15 comments all with bogus links! I wish some of my regular visitors would comment to let me know you're there...
EDIT: Since I got five more of the same comments (all in old archived posts) I decided to allow only registered (blogger) users to comment. Not that it really matters, does it?

See you, space cowboy...
Well, I finished Cowboy Bebop (on the remix DVDs) and I have mixed feelings. The ending would have been spectacular, or at least desirable, had the show been a serious arc driven space opera. But it wasn't. It was a space opera driven slice-of-life show. The "arc" was realy a side story to the lives of the "crew" if you could call them that. Excluding the ending, I still consider this one of my favorite anime of all time; boy, does that sound corny!

New anime to watch!
I had planned to do screen shots or find images from the net, but where does the time go!?! I have checked into several new series since Haruhi has ended (for now?) and Higurashi is slow to come out so the following have shown promise after just one episode.
Kasimasi ~ Girl Meets Girl ~ is a pretty good offering and the plot twisted on me from the get-go! See ANN entry for a description.
Himawari! is a cool show about a girl who realizes her dream of going to a special school; a girl's school for ninjas!! I really enjoy the style of animation in this one. See ANN entry for a description.
Tsuyokiss is decent and worth watching a few more episodes to let it flesh out. It's really about a girl who moves to a new school and encounters a weird set-up within the school hierarchy. The ANN description is way off, unless things change drastically in future eps.

July already?!?
Yep, it's July already and I have let this blog decay...I suppose I coulc chalk it up to Summer and having a family to entertain...I haven't been missing out on my addiction though, but this blog and the forums have been left behind. Hey even Otaku have to have a life!! Some of us atleast...
Here are the Father's Day gifts my young ones made for me. They once had perfume sprayed on them; they're supposed to be car air fresheners I think...
What are they? Why, they're Hare + Guu!!! Cute huh?
Here I'll leave you with a grand wish for all fellow otakus to have a happy Fourth of July!!
